I started tying quilts a couple of years ago to help out a friend of mine who was going through a loss. I am not the best at comforting with words and wanted to show them that I cared. My mom came up with the grand idea of making a quilt for them. It was a marvelous idea! There is just something so comforting about quilts and blankets. They keep us warm and provide a canvas for those with a vivid imagination. Anything from blanket forts to keeping us safe from monsters under the bed. The hopes of each of these quilts was to provide comfort and love as we all go through difficult times in our lives.
